Ritmo Azul

Ritmo Azul (Blue Rhythm) is an original work exploring the connections between Jazz, Tap and Blues and Flamenco. In this groundbreaking work, Ballet Flamenco La Rosa Artistic Director Ilisa Rosal creates links and shows parallels between the instrumental and vocal music and dance of these intense and popular styles.

With a live jazz/blues band joining the flamenco musicians, a musical collaboration sets the mood for tap and flamenco footwork conversations, blues and flamenco laments and exuberant jazzy tunes that have the audience dancing in their seats. All of this is interpreted by dynamic dancers in styles ranging from Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Modern to Flamenco. This is one of the company's most popular works, and has received rave reviews and standing ovations at every performance.

Buddy Clark, of the Hallandale Digest wrote: “I have been reviewing the arts for more than fifteen years, and never have I had a more enjoyable evening. This is the kind of show that should be seen by every dance lover in the country.”
