This cutting-edge work will incorporate live music, original choreography and improvisation by some of the most important Flamenco artists of this era. The music will be composed, arranged and performed live by Ballet Flamenco La Rosa's world renowned guitarist and singer, danced by the company's stunning dancers.

The World Premiere, full evening length work, uses Flamenco music and dance as a language to tell the story.

The music and lyrics, which will be created and arranged drawing from traditional, as well as contemporary and original material to be interpreted by 16 artists from Spain, Latin America and the U.S., under the direction of Ilisa Rosal, BFLR's Founding Artistic Director.

The magnificent novella by D. H. Lawrence explores the conflict between youthful desire and societal constraints. The story centers on Yvette, a young woman living in a stifling rectory dominated by her overbearing grandmother, aunt, and father. The narrative highlights Yvette's longing for freedom and passion, embodied by a gypsy man who represents a life of vitality and sensuality in stark contrast to the oppressive environment of her home. The gypsy’s arrival evokes Yvette's suppressed desires, leading her to fantasize about escaping her mundane existence.
